Dorset Police Rural Crime Team Weekly Update Another busy week for the Rural Crime Team, working to keep our rural communities safe and supported. ✅ Officers worked alongside CID to assist in the arrest of an individual for a serious domestic-related offence. Following the arrest, officers supported safeguarding measures for a vulnerable family within a rural community, working closely with safeguarding teams and social services to ensure appropriate support was put in place. ✅ Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the Wimborne area. The vehicle is believed to be stolen and has been seized while enquiries continue to establish ownership and the circumstances surrounding its presence in the area. ✅ The team organised specialist training for officers from across Dorset focused on plant and machinery theft investigations. We were pleased to welcome representatives from DataTag and the National Construction and Agriculture Theft Team (NCATT), providing valuable expertise to help tackle this type of crime. ✅ We also held a Community Contact Point at Mole Country Store in Dorchester, providing an opportunity for members of the public to speak with officers, discuss concerns, and receive crime prevention advice. Thank you to our communities for your continued support and for reporting information that helps us prevent and detect crime across Dorset's rural areas. #DorsetPolice #RuralCrimeTeam #SaferCommunities #RuralCrime #CrimePrevention #WorkingTogether #PCSO6644
